Introducing filmguitars.com: Why I’m Creating a New Home for My TV/Film Scores

I’ve decided to create a separate online home for my TV and Film scoring work, apart from my music production page. In this article, I’ll share my reasoning behind this change and hopefully offer insights that could be helpful to singer-songwriters.

Music production and scoring share several elements. In both, I’m crafting music that sets a mood, tells a story, and connects emotionally with audiences. In both, I bring together live and virtual instruments, shape sound through mixing, and collaborate closely with those who have a vision for what they want to convey.

But the main difference is who I’m collaborating with—and how I’m connecting with them.

With music production, my partners are singer-songwriters. We’re working to amplify their voice, message, and artistic vision. In TV and Film scoring, my collaborators are often showrunners, producers, and directors who are focused on using music to serve the broader narrative and tone of a scene or series. Each group has unique needs, priorities, and creative journey that call for different conversations, approaches, and tools.

To give each type of work the focus it deserves, I’m setting up a dedicated space for my scoring work, where I can communicate directly with those in film and TV. This way, I can keep my production site centered on supporting singer-songwriters, without overlapping priorities or mixed messages.

So if you’re here because you’re an artist looking for production support, this space remains dedicated to you—where we can focus entirely on your music, your vision, and your journey.

I also would like to invite you to check out filmguitars.com
