honor someone
with a song

“This kind of work takes more than talent. It takes a certain sensitivity to feel out the best way to mark life’s huge moments for someone else. They can do that.” – Jen Ball

What we do

We believe every person has a meaningful story. Every person leaves their mark in their world.

Every person deserves to be celebrated with the rare and unique gift of a song.

Wherever you are in the world. Whoever your special person is. Whatever the occasion. We’ve got you covered.

Let us help you find the right words and melody.

It would be our honor.

I’m Still Here (for LaLa)

  • I'm Still Here 00:00

“I’m Still Here” honoring the life of a remarkable woman and mother.

When I close my eyes
I see yours there shining green
In the warmth of your light
I have never felt so seen

When the moon won’t rise
I find the glow you left in me
It was too soon for goodbye
But I can hear you whispering

I’m still here
In your joy
When you laugh and
In your tears

I’m still here
Show your boy
How to love through
all his fears
‘Cause I’m still here

There will always be a now ***
Sometimes elusive it can seem ***
And you told me that right now
Is the time to really dream

So I close my eyes
And feel the wonder all around
And I can hear all your words
In the beauty I have found

I’m still here
In your joy
When you laugh and
In your tears

I’m still here
Show your boy
How to love through
all his fears
‘Cause I’m still here

Lala lala lala la

I’m still here
In your joy
When you laugh and
In your tears

I’m still here
Show your boy
How to love through
all his fears

“The song Brian and Joel created for my late mother has brought a lantern of hope into my heart. This piece of music, created just for her, has replaced the heaviness of her loss with all of the wonder and joy she brought to our lives. When I feel that dark familiar claw of grief reaching for me, I put the song on, and waves of memories and tenderness replace my sadness.

These music makers have enshrined a protective circle around my mum’s memory and gifted our family with an anthem for a woman we miss so dearly, softening our sorrow by reminding us all that she is, in fact, still here. Their song is a gentle force for healing that we needed during a time of immense tragedy. “

Maeve

00:00
  • Maeve 00:00

“Maeve” dedicated to a very special kid on her tenth birthday.

Maeve
what is in your veins
to make you swim in lakes so cold
and now you’re ten years old

Maeve
you are our little spark
we watch you paint and read and climb
with the most curious mind

and you always try new things
5 years old off of the Tarzan swing

If ever you are feeling blue
maybe you need someone true so you feel safe you
can always hang with Maeve or
Maybe you just wanna smile
and talk with someone for a while
your spot is saved
there’s no one quite like Maeve

You
clever, wild spirit child
and we know yours was a rough start
with a tiny leaky heart but
we watched that heart grow
and as it opened ours did too
amazing Maeve we all love you

and you always try new things
and we’re grateful for the joy you bring

If ever you are feeling blue
maybe you need someone true so you feel safe you
can always hang with Maeve or
Maybe you just wanna smile
and talk with someone for a while
your spot is saved
there’s no one quite like Maeve

and you always try new things
and your beauty is the song you sing

Maeve
you are brave and bold
grandpa calls you plucky
you make us feel lucky but

you create your own
you’re as open as the sky
with the deepest bluest eyes

and you always try new things
and we love to watch you spread your wings

If ever you are feeling blue
maybe you need someone true so you feel safe you
can always hang with Maeve or
Maybe you just wanna smile
and talk with someone for a while
your spot is saved
there’s no one quite like Maeve

and you always try new things…

“We had to cancel two of our daughter Maeve’s birthday parties because of covid, and the second missed birthday was her big 1-0. So instead, we asked loved ones to contribute their favourite things about Maeve, and Brian and Joel shaped those words into a beautiful song. She was so moved when we played it for her on her birthday, and I can’t help but cry every time I hear it. It’s not a sad song – I don’t know why I can’t stop crying! I know Maeve will always have this song for the rest of her life, as a little snapshot of what she was like as a child – and how much she was loved.

It was so wonderful working with Brian and Joel. They are so talented, but this kind of work takes more than talent. It takes a certain sensitivity to feel out the best way to mark life’s huge moments for someone else. They can do that.”
